If your main question is how to connect a non BMW Zumo to the Voice II so it plays through the intercom, I believe others on this forum have posted detailed instructions. But since nobody has answered you yet specifically for the Zumo XM portion of your question, I can tell you that my Garmin Streetpilot 2820 which has the GXM-30 XM antenna/radio connected to it works very well using the 2820 AUX Out jack connected via a standard 3.5mm male to male cable to my bikes Voice II Aux In jack. Since the Garmin GXM-30 is the same device used by the Zumo 500/550 to receive XM and since the Zumo also has a line out jack, I don't see why it wouldn't work also if you connect it similarly.

As a sidenote, the XM will also play from my 2820 through the Voice II intercom without the stereo aux jack being used but the quality is crap (mono like the voice direction instructions).
