My LT got me a new camera for a Christmas gift! Actually it is only the body. It is an Olympus E3. I just started to play with it yesterday and wow do i like it! It's 10.1mp's with IS built into the body so all my existing lenses, 7 of them are IS now! It also has live view with a moveable monitor. Here is a pic

Very nice. My wife's camera has a movable monitor like that. It is a great feature.

I was in the back yard looking up into the night sky for Santa but i guess I was a little early, so I took a picture of the moon instead.

Hi Doug -

Didn't realize your camera was 2-days new on Saturday! Very nice! My wife totally surprised me with a Nikon D300 last night when we opened our gifts. This is my first digital SLR, and second SLR counting my 1978 Canon AE1.

Getting nervous here - too many good things happening in less than 72 hours!

I'll post some pics as soon as I make it thru the manual and play w/ it a bit.

I'm turning green with envy. Where does one find a wife like that?

To qualify, your 1st wife has to take you for everything you've got (and this includes paying for her attorney for the privilege)!

I still have an AE1 in the original box it came in has less than 3 rolls of film through it! We should plan a photo shoot ride.
My wife is like that she is the one who suggested I get the LT. When I told her I wanted a real touring bike and told her about the LT she said go get it you deserve it!

You won't believe this, but back in 2003 my wife was going to surprise me with the 1200CL. Luckily, I found out before she actually bought it - which is how we ended up w/ the LT. (this is gonna just about kill mkiesel!)

Well, I was still using my AE1, because I absolutely hated the shutter delay on our digital point & shoot. More convenient no doubt, but I can't tell you how many pics I missed because of the delay. Almost bought a Nikon D80 last summer, but then other expenses came up, then found out about the D300 so just decided to wait.

Would love to go on a photo-shoot ride - I'm still reading/learning/getting comfy w/ the D300, but shouldn't be too much longer!
