Not what you might guess.
Just decompressing here.
That storm that iced the midwest came and dropped a few inches of snow here in the deep south of Vermont.
Fired up the New Holland tractor to plow the drive. Bucket loader on front, scraper blade on back turned around for plowing in reverse.
Get to the bottom of the drive and discovered a front flat tire, now half off the rim. I thought she was handling a little funny. It's dark, still snowing, but not too cold or windy.
So I slog up the drive yell at the wife and son to come help, throw some tools in the pickup and head down the driveway. Jacked up the front end with the bucket loader. Removed the wheel. Threw it in the truck and brought it up to the garage. Wrestled the tire off the rim. Tube was ripped bad.
Took the tire and rim into the house by the wood stove to warm things up. Found a used tube.
Remounted the tire and tube on the rim in the kitchen on the counter.
Pumped it up. Leaky old tube needed to be reinflated every few minutes but finished the plowing.
Whole process took less that two hours with help from a wonderful wife and a great son.
Gotta love the country life.
I wish the tires on the LT were as easy as the front tires on the New Holland.
Skiing's gonna be good tomorrow. :)
