Can not get Zumo out of craddle

Took our first ride with the brand new BMW Zumo. Got home and can not get it out of the craddle. Took it in and out numerous times while installing but now I unlatch the release and it will not budge...????

What am I missing??

Thanks for any hints, I don't want to force anything and break it.

There is a small screw on the top of the mount that may have vibrated in. I had this happen to me also the first time out. Then realized how easy it is to correct.

Now I know what that little "Security Screwdriver" is for... Is that in the owners manual? I missed it, even after I looked for something that might look the unit in place.

Yup... keeps sticky fingers from lifting it when you are not nearby.

The little ZUMO is just the right size to remove and "pocket" ... or stow on the bike, but a bit of a hassle...

And, . . . . if you use the security screwdriver, there are times when the bit will just spin in the knurled handle, then you will have to use your leatherman pliers to 'Grasp the Bit (below the knurled bit) to undo it.

Actually, the "security screw" is to make sure you don't lose your Zumo if you hit a bump in the road. The screw prevents the cradle from popping open accidentally. The prevention of light finger removal with that particular screw is a side benefit. However, if you have lost the screw like I have, you can order a replacement screw from a gentleman who participates in the forum over at zumoforums.com . Very reasonable price but not what you would consider an anti-theft device.
