I've been waiting on this purchase for some reason... can't think of a better one than this!
Will they accept a printed copy of this coupon??
Thanks

I've got one as well, I also have the 15% off a single item from the flyer..
Don't guess you could use them both together... But the 199 is a great price.
If anyone needs the actual email, Just send me your address and I'll forward the email to you...
The lift is quite adequate for my LT..

Yes, print it out and take the coupon to the store
(might want to call and check availability)
you will need a truck, it's big and heavy

I went to the store in Woddland Hills, CA. with my printed coupon in hand (Thank you Jspen!;))
The clerks who work there had no idea what I was talking about... I showed them the 1 lift they had on the floor, assembled wrong and missing bolts, and they did not know I could add side rails and change the wheel chock. And that was the only unit they had in stock. The "clerk" suggested I order from the Internet...
He also apologized he couldn't help me any longer as he had to go to work at the register... WTF???
I felt the same way I did last time I went to a Radio Shack in Los Angeles. There are no knowledgeable people working there, just cashiers making close to minimum wages.:(

I called local HB store and they said they would still honor the coupon even though it is expired. But upon further research I noticed that they have several models. The coupoon is for the lift which is regular $299, it is only foot operated and doesn't have the tall vise for the front wheel. For those who have a harbor freight lift , is this the one that will handle the LT? ANy other advice on the HB lifts please respond. I know there are some people who wouldn't buy one. I am more intersted in hearing from those who have them. Thanks

Marc,
All the lifts (I believe) are basically the same capacity.
The basic model (in the picture) is the one I have. The front wheel chock is a bit Mickey-Mouse as it the "stop". I am considering extending the width a little (hate to go off the front).
I made a couple of mods to mine, the ramp is a bit steep and, maybe its my shocks, but I bottomed out a couple on times going up it. I fashioned one out of 2 x 8's and plywood extending the ramp length maybe 12-18". Problem solved.
Be a little careful going down the ramp. I was using too much brake and "slid" the rear wheel access plate. Thought I was going to have to return the lift, but it was me :(
One side note is you will want to make some places for your feet along the length of the lift. With the LT, there isn't much foot room.
I salvaged the box the lift came in and made my ramp and steps from it. Had to "double thickness" it to make it strong enough, but, it worked.
I also purchased the extended warranty to replace the unit within a year if needed.
Love it for as much as I need it.
By the way, I spent about $250.00 for mine.

As far as I know they only make two versions of that lift,
one is air operated ($399) and the other is foot operated. ($299)
I have the foot operated one and agree the vise could be improved upon.
But for the $$$ it works well and I would buy another.

Hi,
I know I should have cleaned the garage, but, that is the sign of an unhealthy person :)
Here's some pictures of the ramp modifications to the HF lift I made. Also the side supports.
All the plywood was 100% china quality motorcycle lift box material. Used some construction adhesive in between a couple of layers.
I always leave the front tire clamp "off" unless I'm lifting her up.

OK I GIVE UP..Couldn't upload the files If you want to see them, I'll e-mail ya

I just got the latest e-mail (spam) from HF.
The lift is now $279.00 "on-sale".
If you can get them to hold the $199.00, go for it.

I went yesterday afternoon and purchased one. The manager honored my printed out expired coupon. Thanks to all who provided me with information on the lift. Unfortunetly, they told me it was special order so I drove wifes car there (save gas) to order it and turned out they had one. So I bought it and have to go back this afternoon to pick it up, 100 mile round trip. Not sure how I am going to get it out of my truck yet but I will somehow. Again thanks to all for your help
