#1 k1200gt
#2 1300 honda pan european (st1300)
#3 gtr1400
#4 FJR1300
They rated the Concours14 engine the lowest stating that it lacked power in low, middle, AND high rpms. The Concours is getting trashed lately in the reviews! I guess these magazines don't realize that Kawasaki has a restrictor in place to limit the power in the mid range. All you have to do is pull the secondary plates from the intake and remap with a PC3 to get all the power you can handle. They also rated the GT's chasis over the Concours.
Anyway, I love my Concours. Best bike I've ever ridden. I had no problem hanging with some serious sport bike riders this last weekend:

Check out Neswenson's link. The pictures of the skid marks on his lower fairing are truly impressive.

Looks like a design problem to me; when the suspension bottoms out in curves the fairing drags.

I don't think so, that's just riding it hard. You don't get marks like that by cutting throttle and letting the suspension bottom out' those scrapes will go all the way up to the handlbars.
My R1100RT and my 99 K1200LT both had similar marks. The LT for being tipped way into corners at speed and I had ground enough of the footpegs off that I could drag the lower fairings through corners. The RT by dragging the lowers over the gater teeth curbing on the inside of turn 4 at Laguna Seca at a track day.

David,
I can't even see the bars or any scratches above the lower belly pan. I knew people who would bevel the footpegs with a rasp. He never did show the other side either.

Where's the reference to the GT being #1? I went to the Superbike web page and couldn't find a reference.
It's actually more notable when the GT is not #1 as in the Rider Mag comparison.

My point was that, at the lean angles needed to get into the lower fairings like in the pics, if you cut the throttle and bottom the suspension you will most likely low side the bike (hence the scratches going all the way up to the handlebars).
And beveling the footpegs with a rasp is cheating! ;) :D
