My new shocks for the 07 GSA just got here.

You will not know the maker- Suspension Systems, or Hendrick Shocks of Charlotte NC.

I was put onto him via BMW Charlotte who uses them for their race bike and have been please with them. When I bought the bike, they had one behind the counter and the fit and finish were equal to anything I’ve seen- Ohlins or Wilbers. Well, actually, they should be equal to Wilbers as the core is made by the same company that makes the cores for Wilbers.

We chose to us Eibach springs. I have used Eibach before on my son’s race bikes and we really liked them. They don’t settle near as much as the stock springs do.

Another PLUS is that Kenny is not too far from me to run up there for fine tuning..

Kenny also makes shocks for NASCAR racers, if you have a need for that. He has 20 years experience ..

Why did I go with an unknown?

Well, I got a quote for Ohlins @$ 1800. WOW- I knew the dollar was low, but ouch…!!!

Wilbers has changed its USA dealers and I really had a hard time getting a straight quote for what I wanted. Never had this issue with Klause when he had Wilbers. Love the ones on the LT and the 02 GSA (for sale).

Kenny’s price was a little lower than Wilbers @$1250 for set and if I came there, he’d install them. Not really isn’t that hard on the GSA. The LT can be fun!

If you want to contact Kenny..

Will get them installed some time this week and let you know. I guess I’ll have to go to mountains to really see how they do.

Thanks for the info on another choice for shocks and the pictures. Looking forward to a report after you use them for a while. I only have a few hundred miles on my GSA so far so I don't know if I can find an adjustment I like or if they loosen up with time. So far them seem very harsh on compression. No complaints with function other than that so far.

They will loosen up as you use them.

I ride a good bit two up and with most of the preload dialed in- the bike still feels very mushy.

We rented a 07 GS in Italy this summer and I had the preload at max and I felt it hit the rubber stops several times.

I have Wilbers on the 02 GSA that I am selling and I can tell you that on the mountains curves - it stics like glue and you can feel it tracking the irregular surfaces of the roads. Same for my LT.

Know anyone wanting a great black/yellow 02?
