Eye-Fi Wireless SD Memory Card (http://davedragon.rilysi.com/2007/12/eye-fi-wireless-sd-memory-card-rilysi.html)

I picked up a new accessory for my digital cameras that promises to make photo publication a much easier and almost hands off prospect

The Eye-Fi Wireless SD Card (http://www.eye.fi/) replaces the SD memory card in your Digital Camera and works as any other SD card, but with a twist of convenience.

Once you run the setup software and make a few simple decisions; you start taking photos and they are transferred automatically to your PC/Laptop and optionally, to your on-line photo sharing service.

No need to remove the card from your camera to copy the images to your PC/Laptop and then upload them to your photo site by hand.

The included software that's already installed on the Eye-Fi card makes setup a snap. You can add as many wireless networks as you need to the card so the wireless transfer happens any time your in range of any of the networks.

It works as advertised and would make a great stocking stuffer.
I have it setup to use my Home and Office Wireless Networks.

Neat idea. I would have bought one in a second would it not be for two drawbacks that prevent me from buying one:

a) Can only handle jpegs. I almost never shoot in jpeg. all my pics are done in RAW
b) Only as sd card available. My camera takes CF.

BUT I realize for 90% of all the point and shoot photog this is a nice product (if your camera uses sd)

All my cameras use SD cards and JPG format so it's a real time saver for me.
