Man, is it just mine or did anyone else experience a change in the sound of the exhaust note on their GT around 6k miles. Mine has gotten significantly deeper, a bit louder and sounds nasty (as in "great")!!!! Not loud, but much more "throaty" so to speak. Anybody else experience this?

I'm not sure I've ever lissened to a 'new' (less than 6K) GT's exhaust and paid attention to the sound, butt Friday evening past, I heard Doug Turner's GT start up and idle, and thought to myself "that sure sounds suuweeet!!" Slight rumble. It wuzn't 'hunting' for an idle speed, butt there wuz just enough variance in the exhaust note that it reminded me of sumpthin' pretty powerful wanting to be let loose. I sure wish ole Toad had that sound.

These bikes (like most BMW's) take a while to break in. Wait till about 15k!
