He was a local, and used to hang out in the same biker/beach bar on Sunset beach that I "used to" frequent some years back.

Never had the opportunity to "really" talk with him,
I don't think he ever had to "buy" a drink there.

I wouldn't want his life, even with all the money he made and spent :)

But I admire the way he "got back up" everytime he was knocked down.

As I understand from mutual friends in Butte, MT (where he's from), you also wouldn't want to bet him on the golf course. When money was on the line, he seldom lost!
