Now that the weather has cooled off (but not too cold for rides), I continue to be impressed with wind management on the GT. I have the taller of the two OEM BMW windshields. I'm running it full-up in cool weather, at which point I'm just looking over the top (I'm 5'10" tall). There are many occasions when I'll be up to 3rd gear before I realize that I have the face shield of the helmet still opened. Head, shoulders, chest, legs, even hands - there's a relatively quiet spot of air (for me) that's better than it was on the LT. Even my wife says that air management for her as a passenger is better than it was on the LT.
And when summer comes, and you drop that windshield all the way down ... there's air there that you can only dream about on the LT.
I'm impressed!

Arrgh!
First it's Joe buying a GT and telling everyone how the thing is words better than an LT. Not only that, he had to buy a BLUE one. My favorite color and everything.
Then Pastor Jack gets a GT (closer to home) and posts about how much power it has, etc. etc. AND he has the GALL to post "What do you want for Christmas".
Then you get a GT (right here in Greenville) and tell us it's warmer and quieter than the LT in Winter, and cooler in the Summer.
My nose is going to look like Jacko's if the GT converts keep rubbing it in your new bikes!
At least you had the courtesy not to buy a blue one!

It was kinda like the LT, it took awhile, but then I fell smoothe in love with it. Dropping the a couple hundred pounds and getting an extra 50 or so ponies doesn't hurt either.
I concur on the wind management. The bike is just superb.
Dayem, there went a few more inches of your nose.

Same for me! I Love the wind management on my GT (for me). The only reason I am even considering an CeeBailey is for my wife. We do ride a LOT together.
And yes...I LOVE my GT. The other day we passed a guy on an LT and I thought it might be you wCarter. He was staring longingly at us on the Blue GT. About that time, my 18 yr old daughter leaned forward and whispered in my ear, "Dad, I know it's purely vain, but you do look a LOT younger on a GT".
'Bout fell off the bike right there! :histerica
