Well, it's 0630. If I'm going to make the breakfast on time I'd better get going. The weather reports the temp outside at 30. Great. With the wind chill on I80, that ought to make it, what, minus 700?

See you guys in a bit. Coffee hot and black, please.

We had a great showing at A&S on Saturday for the RCB Toy Run to the Children's Receiving Home in Sacramento. I would estimate about 40-50 bikes took off with a Metro Fire Brigade and a Jeep Renagade filled with toys for the kids at CRH. Looks like they will have a very nice Christmas indeed. The kids came out to look at the bikes and fire equipment. It was a bit exciting when the paramedic unit got a call and had to take off Code 3! Once the kids made their rounds, us big kids decided to saddle up and head down the river for lunch at Wimpy's near Walnut Grove. A fairly strong headwind with a nip of chill in the air made the Hazelnut coffee taste that much better with our riverfront fare. After that, Raffy, John, Tom, Steve, Mia, Jeanie, and myself parted to the four winds satisfied on a great December ride.

I wish I could have made it... I volunteered at a Shrine event to raise money for the hospital... The Childrens Receiving Home is by far a most worthy cause... I am sorry I missed it this year....
