AeroGuards On !

Recv'd this evening & installed. Installation easy. Gaps between rear piece and fairing body panel wider than expected. The test comes tomorrow. Will be on road quite a bit, so I'll report back over weekend.

I'm using my set with my C.B. screen. Not an exact match where screen meets AeroGuard, but then they were not made to work together :rolleyes: either !

Dual-Lock seems to work well for front piece, but it is securely anchored with the two fairing screws each side, longer replacements in kit, with rubber fender washers to go between guard and fairing panel. My kit was short one fender washer, so I left them out on each top screw for uniformity.

Rear section Dual-Lock, well time will tell. Rear piece is secured to front piece with a plastic screw, fender washer, nut combo. After part of rear piece is secured only with appx 1" square of Dual-Lock. Seems ok for now

Hmmm... the Auxiliary Lighting Guy can't find enough light to take a pic of his new toys. I don't know about you, but there's somethin' funny about that to me. :histerica

The Aeroflow windshield by itself works pretty well. The windshield plus AeroGards works very well.

Where can you buy Aerogards?From AeroFlow (http://www.aeroflowscreens.com/K1200GT.htm). They're pricey, but they do work very well. I've worn mesh gloves down into the 40's with the AeroGards and heated grips. Plus I no longer get bugs or rain splattered all up my arms when riding through adverse conditions.

Gaps between rear piece and fairing body panel wider than expected


You can close down that gap a little by loosening the two securing metal screws and the plastic screw and gently pulling up on the front aerogard to release the dual-lock material and gently moving the front guard inward to resecure the dual lock. Since the rear guard is attached it will also move slightly inward and close the gap down to the instructions indicated 1/4 to 3/8 inch. Note that you don't want the gap to close completely (it won't) because then rain would pool up in there. With the gap water runs right down. Hope that helps a little
