Unmetered Harmony

Something that came out of my search for photos for this past weekends (11/10/07) photo assignment on the MOA board (the subject was "Harmony")
I haven't quite decided on the final title it might change to

Harmony (Unmetered)
Without Rhyme, for a Reason

or maybe not.... anyway here it is however titled.....


Unmetered Harmony

I went out today to greet Winter
and recharge my soul

Untended Fences
And Broken Places

Greeted me as I passed
With the wind behind

I went out today to find Harmony
And wander the back roads

Mountains and Farms
Greeted me as I passed

Streams and Reflections
With the wind behind

I went out today to find the soul of the road
And it was right there where I left it

I plugged in
but never turned on

The bright yellow warmth
was just enough

I went out today to find Heaven's Highway
And I’m glad to report, its still there

The GPS said go This way
So I went That

When I got tired of arguing with it
I turned it off and let the road guide me

I went out today just because;
The desire being enough

When it was time to return
I told the GPS to take me Home

It looked back at me
With its pixilated, rectangular face
And whispered softly
“You already are!”
