Advise please

Washed the bike the other day and a strip of foam started to emerge from the bottom of the instrument panel. I tried to stuff it back but soon under way and the wind blew it back up. Question, is it replaceable? Question 2, is there something better to replace it with, possibly a more dense foam?

I think the standard replacement material for the foam is pipe insulation available from Home Depot, Loew's, or some such. There are a couple of kinds. One is denser and more "rubbery", which is what I use.

This just started with my bike a couple of weeks ago. I tried pushing it down but it came back out again. Thanks fore the suggestion.

Rodney, One more question. Does all the plastic have to come off for replacement?
