Well it was a great day for a ride today, a little nippy, but what the heck for mid November in Canada. It started out about 7c (45f) about 1:00 pm. Rode about 200 km, persuaded a friend to ride also, he rode about 1 hour with me and he was frozen, went to another friends for a visit then Timmies for chillie and a tea. Then home, got home about 6:00 pm and about 1c (33f) Overall not a bad day.

Good for you!! You still see the odd biker riding around Fredericton these days. Thought about going for ride myself yesterday but my wife had others plans for me, like installing a new door on our house. I have stored in the basement at work anyway partially dismantled for service work. :bmw:

Damn, GK aka Ironbutt - another hundred clicks and the tea would've been on the house....!

Yes, Es is in San Diego this weekend. A little cool for her to ride. I hear we are coming over sometime before Christmas, the SO's are scheming.

P.S. you get your plates yet? How is the RIV going or shouldn't I ask?

Horrible. I've sent a complaint to the Minister of Transport. Got another "Vehicle History Report" from a dealer in MA, but it's handwritten (on their letterhead, though). I submitted that late Friday - we shall see. If not - and why didn't I think of this before??? - I could appeal to the group at large here - anyone living near a US dealer could score for me what I need. For free! The further South the better.
The Stool Samples running RIV are overwhelmed. Me, I'm underwhelmed.
Talked to BMW Canada. Not only do they want 500 beans plus taxes, but, worse, that I haul the bike to a dealer - nearest one is in Whitby. Worse yet, it would be three weeks to get the stupid recall letter.
But - it's so worth it. Said dealer has an '03 like mine, same mileage, fewer farkles - 6000 bucks more than what I paid. And this sort of rip-off is what BMW-Canada is protecting.
Tell Es to get in touch when they are done scheming...

Happens with these bikes. Why, just tomorrow I was telling the Professor that it's too cold for the Flux Capacitator. He lifted the seat, looked at it, and thought it would be safe for me to maybe go for a ride last week. I said I would-did, because the LT is a lot more fun than a Delorean when you bust through the time-space continuum.
Gimme another coffee...
