Had a nice ride on Sunday (2002 K1200LTC) the SO enjoying her heated jacket, it was particularly nice because I couldn't find my BlueAnt bluetooth, so there was no yacking in my ear. When I got home the windshield wouldn't go down, what now? Does anyone know where to start, I can hear a click with the switch, but no movement.

Jeff, did you try to help it down by pushing slightly on the top while pushing the button, if that does'nt work remove chrome covers and check to see if one of the pivot arms are broken. If they are right it may need just a shot of WD-40 on pivot joints. If pivot joint is broken do a search there are several known fixes with out replacing the arm.

Here's a link that may help if arm is broken. http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21417&highlight=windshield+pivot

On mine it was the relays...twice. The first time I just replaced then with the same old OEM POS. This time I purchased aftermarket that were sealed and 1/4th the price.

Appreciate the replies, I will look at each Manana. By the way where is the relay?

Remove the windshield and the plastic that he windshield arms protrude from and there are two relays side by side in the front. The first time i did this I removed ALL the plastic, but that isn't necessary.

Mine was sticking a while back and a little oil fixed the problem. I now oil all pivot points at each fluid change.
