I noticed in the BMM ON that just came that the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show will be in Seattle November 30 - December 2. What say about a group ride to the show on Saturday, December 1st or Sunday, December 2nd? If the weather turns nasty we could cage pool as an option. It's a bit early to plan, but wanted to get the ball rolling.

We will be there Sunday morning - probably working a booth once again. Still waiting to hear final assignments. Stop by the "give away" booth Sunday morning and say hello.
Also - the olympia Toy Run is Saturday - mid day http://www.olytoyrun.com

Saturday or Sunday? Any preferences out there folks? I was thinking Sat morning unless the weather really turns sour, then maybe Sun. Or we could cage it up if the weather is rotten both days.
What say ye all?

I think meeting at Dan's house works great for the southern contingent! Larry, you could be at the show before we even hit Olympia!
Oh yeah Larry, the Back-up seems great so far, but I need a longer ride to know for sure.
Dan, 10:00 or so at your house work?

We're not sure of our plans yet. Work has been getting in our way lately too. We'll check the posts on Friday when we know if time allows.

Wow - How plans change over time - We will not be working on Sunday where I thought that we would - BUT - I will have a bike in the show - but not the BMW. So I will probably be there all three days - setting up, helping in a different booth and retrieving the bike.- So someone set up a meeting time and place at the show - and we will see you there.

I will be hanging out at the Super One starbucks on Martin way from about 11ish till around noon, then head over to watch some of the performers and then do the ride. If you can make it great.
Where do we want to meet at the cycle show and what time?
Assume I'd be up there around 4 to 5PM?
Not really sure because I've never done the toy ride before.
thx
larry
By the way, I'm liking my Rich's seat with built in back rest so far. Went on some crazy roads for a 250 mi ride Sunday. Varied from 33 to 50deg. Frost on downhill roads with banked curves! Also went on some primitive roads, following GPS! Quite an adventure!

Works for me, John. The weather forecast looks mixed - probably more definitive by Friday.

Mixed it is. I especially like the current Vancouver forecast of "Snow showers at times" for Saturday. :D

Uh, no! So, I'm thinking we're caging it up there Saturday gang. With that thought in mind maybe we should see who is driving and perhaps cut down on the number of vehicles heading up there? Art and myself will be arriving at Dan's house by 10:00 sat in a vehicle. How many folks do we envision looking for a seat to the show? Or how many are planning on driving and would like some company?
Feel free to chime in as well as copying and pasting the list below!

Ya know ron, we just added about 4 Maint Inspectors, but they will probably add some more in the not too distant future. Give me a jingle or a PM if you are serious. Otherwise, enjoy all your free travel buddy! We'll take notes at the show for ya!
For everyone thinking of going, i suggest we watch the weather real close and check back in right here no later than 8:00 AM Saturday to see who is driving what vehicle with how many folks are going.

I see that we have 4 arriving at Dan's at 10ish. I'll be happy to drive if needed. I have a 4 wheel drive vehicle but the back seat of the Frontier might be a bit cramped.

Shotgun! If we take Art's truck. So what have you guys got for wheels? I do not currently have a 4 WD, but do have a mini-van with plenty of room should the roads allow.
Let's stay active on the forum here till Sat morning so we know just who is doing what.

Green chili guy says he wants to go... I even have some awesome green chili breakfast burrito's for anybody who stops by here on their way. Let me know how many are interested. I am waiting on a last minute weather report to see if it will be snowing, I hope not because I want to ride. I would like to carpool/ride with you guys so come on over and eat some burrito's.

Sorry guys, my PU is a 2WD and only holds three. We should be OK tomorrow, but we will have to make it back in time for the Hurricane. Isn't the weather great! Well at least I don't live in the Gorge. The wind is going .......ooops, sorry Denny.

How about we try to meet up at the BMW booth around 2:30 this afternoon? Today (Saturday) that is.
I will have my cell with me for anyone who needs to talk. It should be at least Art, Dan, Denny & myself plus Brian in case we don't end up giving him a ride in. He wanted to ride his Bike!
See ya there,

Great show as usual!
