Weak battery this cold am

Well not really all that cold. The OB temp was at 28f and the bike was outside under canvas garage. Would not start. After 5 minutes with a 1amp charger fired right up. No problems after that.

Seems as though a new battery is next. Present battery is a sealed unit and I do not know it's age. Any suggestions for a new battery. I prefer the no maintenance sealed units.

Becareful with a low battery. It has been known to put the ABS units on the 99 through 01 units into false failure. DAMHIK.

Odessy PCM-680 is a sealed unit and seems to hold up pretty well.

The Odessy seems to be the choice of many here. I tried it and it has worked fine for about 3 years now.

I think Im prob due for one too...will my BMW charger work with the Odyssey?

My 03 OEM battery, even with battery tender on it, has been a bit sluggish since the temps went down. I understand the cold oil, weaker battery and agree with the rest of yas - 'bout time for a new battery.
