When I try to compose a new message I can enter the recipient's name and the subject, but the body of the message is grayed out and there is a small re x on the top left corner of the text box.
I can receive e-mail, but I cannot reply as I get the same scenario as when I try to compose a new message.
I use IE7 on Vista Enterprise.
Help!
;) Thanks!

;) Thanks! It looks like you have found a bug in our email software. When you select HTML in the web based message editor, it can trigger the situation you have encuntered. The bad part of the bug is that once it occurs you cannot select 'plain text' from the message composition screen. I will look into a solution and get back to you later today.

The good news is that I remember I was able to solve the problem on my computer at the office. The bad news is that I have yet to remember what I did.

I do know it is a failure in the Java aplet used in our Webmail software. This failure was triggered by some security setting in IE7 (it could have been in some earlier versions). As soon as I can find what it was I did to solve the problem I will post it back here.

For the time being you can use Mozilla or another browser, or PM me and I can reset your webmail client to use plain text.

Thanks Randy! I'll try from my linux laptop and Mozilla. This is not an urgent matter as far as I am concerned. I just discovered the issue while testing another product.
