Well just to keep this area warm:

I recently acquired a Valentine 1 radar after getting nailed in a local spped trap while in my cage. 53 in a 35, not pretty. Shot me coming over a hill from 1/4 mile down the road. I don't know if it was instant on (Pop) or not, but I'm fairly certain I would have gotten a scatter beep from the Valentine as he shot the cars in front of me.

I've been using the Valentine for about a week in the car, and it has already saved my bacon once with a state trooper coming up fast from behind and blasting away with continuous Ka band. I slowed and he sailed past, nabbing a pickup in front of me for probably 15 over the 65mph limit. That alone probably saved me the cost of the V1 in fines, aggravation and insurance premiums.

The Valentine goes on the BMR shelf this Winter, but I will undoubtedly be grabbing it for car trips too.

Yep, my V1 has paid for itself many times over. Sure wish I had one in the car a few weeks back. :(

Does that mean most of your time is spent motoring with the right wrist and not the right foot? Maybe a 4-wheel ERC is in your future? ;)

Nah, it just means that my wife's turbo sports car is too much fun, but it does take longer to pass long lines of slower cars. Just don't try that when there happens to be a LEO sitting at the bottom of the hill. I did get past 5 of the 7 cars though. :)

DOOD!

Turbos rule. (except when you get to replace 'em)

I've got a sequential twin turbo 93 RX7 just SLIGHTLY modded. Owned it since new.

Fun factor: When someone comes up to me and says: "Damn, NICE car. I had no idea Mazda was making new RX-7's. Does it have a V6?" ;)

Then, I explain it only has two rotors that go HMMMMM....

I hear they make a turbo for the LT. :D Of course, you'd need a much better clutch first. ;)

I always liked those old rotary Mazdas. Sounds like fun.

My wife's car is a '95 Eagle Talon TSi which just turned over 100K. I've done a few minor upgrades including shocks and tires (balancing against LT farkles), and it still runs great. She even lets me drive it now and again. :) I may just have to get HIDs for it soon though.

When I was sick one day she rented The Fast and the Furious for me as a mindless amusement. I explained to her that they were racing her car, except the AWD version, plus a few other minor modifications. I didn't realize that they made Tazers for cars. Scary.

"How fast do you wanna go? How much money do you have?"
