Does anyone know where I can find a gpx or gdb file to download into my Garmin Zumo of the entire Great River Ride along the Mississippi River from the head waters, or there abouts, to the gulf? I know there's one out there 'cause I accidentally ran across one a few months back and like the fool I can be sometimes I didn't download it or bookmark it. And now when I want to download it for a possible ride this summer, I can't find it anywhere.
Picked up the wife’s new F800ST this week. If there is a female in your life that wants to ride her own bike this one is worth looking at.

I can't help you with the GPS information, but will add this:
Not all of the river road is "great" I just did a couple hundred miles of it
(north out of Greenville MS) and it was flat/straight and boring,
mostly cotton fields and you "rarely" see the river.
I started out leisurely cruising but after an hour or so wound it up some,
when the MS highwaypatrol cars lights came on I was doing 72/55 or so he said,
(actually it was more like 75) I think he guessed because my Valentine never went off.
When he mentioned he had a Goldwing, he "instantly" became my best friend and we spent the next 30 minutes talking motorcycles, it worked,
he handed me back my license and said be careful. :sun: :)

I took it from Dubuque, IA up to Minneapolis, MN and I hafta agree it doesnt really follow the river all that much. The roads are a bit less flat but in ur pretty far from the river until u get to LaCross, WI. From that point on u r next to the big muddy for a long long time, lots of bluffs and overlooks, Winona, MN being a beautiful lil town on the way.
I dont own a GPS so I dont even know what ur talking about as far as downloads and coordinates I still use the MAPS system of navigation.
Have fun
