I have misplaced my VOICE II manual and to be quite honest, never really listened to radio/CD while riding. With my new XM/376 decided to try listening while riding.

Playback thru helmet buds fine, volume fine, but can't seem to mute the external speakers. How are the external speakers muted while listening thru helmet buds?

There is a copy of the Voice II manual in the files area of this website.

There's a mute button on the handlebars that mutes all speakers - TP MUTE

There's also a way to turn off the external speakers all together. It is done with the button that looks like a musical note. Push this button until you get the "speaker" setting and hit the seek side of the round button to toggle them off and on.

You can also adjust the speed controlled volume for three different levels. This is done by pressing and holding the MAN button. 1= steep rapid increase 4=gradual

John,

On my 05 with the radio on I press the second from left lower row radio control button. This is the one with the musical note on it. The BC screen will read out "Speaker ON" I then press the right arrow on the left handlebar volume control/select controller thingy, the big round one. The BC screen now reads Speaker Off" and no sound to the speakers.

On my 05' the Voice II will only mute the speakers in the headsets.

Doug,
If you follow Lee's instructions, I think you will find that you will also be able to "cut out" the external speakers altogether.

Hello,

I am to think to buy a new LT and of this time with the V.O.I.C.E.II. Some friends say that he does not function as well as intercom others say that yes, which is your opinion?

Hey thanks all; pressing the 1/8th note key and then the joystick right kills the external speakers but keeps music in the headset. Duhhhh . . . feel like an idiot.

To Paulo, who asked whether I liked VOICE II. Very much so . . . but others like Baehr and Autocom as well. Seems like a personal choice . . . I think Autocom is less expensive so that could help decision.
