Looks like the location is in the back yard of a certain LD rider we know....OK, here is the rationale behind the madness. We have had a dinner in the NW metropolitan area (Vancouver) and one in the NE (Washougal). We are having one in the SE (Milwaukie) and that leaves the West for our next one. Maybe I could get some help picking a restaurant for that one…. Dan

Marilyn knows the two other couples, and in fact, i believe I bumped into one of the hubbies at the Tigard Open house not too long ago! They were not aware of "BMWLT.com" but are now!

You could always come over and guide the Washington contingent to the restaurant. I205 and McLoughlin Blvd make such an exciting ride. :D Think of all the photo opportunities: traffic on the bridge, the aging bomber, more traffic, another picture of the bomber, etc…

We've really been wanting to to meet the other local KLT folks off this site for some time now but I'm never in Country (at least that's what Cathy keeps telling me), so we're really looking forward to this. Besides, it'll be good to see you again and finally meet your better looking half.

 We have invited more friends to join us. Brian! Did you say ride? We just might have to make a ride up into the great state of Worschington to see if it has turned to Fall yet. :D I hear that most riders up there have winterized their machines and are waxing their skis already. True? ;)

Ernie,
Your killin me!! My boss wanted me to work this weekend,(more farkles for me) I told him I would have to wait and see if a better offer came up. I waited until almost the end of the day and no one chimmed in about a ride. So I told him I would work. I will of course make it to dinner though.

We hope you have a safe ride and say hi to Dayle for us. Looking forward to seeing you both on your trip up.
We are off on a ride up the Gorge today. Looking for some Fall colors and some fun roads across from Hood River. Perhaps a Milkshake in Trout Lake before coming home and getting ready for dinner. :D

So, we had a surprise guest from the South show up tonight, and he tried to tell us that he had even snuck a little hint in on one of the previous lists we had posted. I was sure he was wrong, but I guess the proof is in the pudding if you look at this copy of one of Ernie's posts (note the "me snicker snicker" at the end of the list!)!
It was good to see you again John! As usual you contributed much to the evening's enjoyment. And Dan did his usual great job of organizing the whole event. Tks dan!
Also it was good to see some new faces in the crowd tonight. Welcome to the fold folks!
Now John, ride safe getting home tomorrow. And watch out for those traveling Meese's!!

Thanks Dan for setting up the Dinner, food was great and the company better. I'm glad I got that itch to ride, well worth the 1200 miles to visit with everyone.
Outside of the 400+ miles of Fog, the weather was good.
Hey Ken, I actually did see you and your GT heading south on I-5, we both waved but I didn't think you recognized me.

We had a great turnout and a lot of fun visiting with everyone. Thanks John and Brian for sharing some excellent pictures. I’m going to have to plan some trips based on those photos.
I also really liked hearing everyone’s best ride of the year…great idea Ernie. We will have to remember that one. We even got to see our good NorCal buddy. Thanks for making the trip John. It was nice to meet some new folks as well. All in all, a terrific time…

I too had a great time, Even had a very interesting ride home, But thats another story... As usual it was great to visit with ya all and meet the new friends. Sharing our pics and ride stories was a fantastic idea. I think we should do it every year to recap our rides and to plan next years. Maybe by next year some one (Dan) could teach me all those video tricks.

Art/John,
Thanks for thinking of us. We had every intention of joining you until we came back around 3:30 from a little midday ride to lunch and my head felt like the front and the back wanted to swap places. I laid down hoping it would go away and didn't even stir until 6:00 and then I still felt like crawling in a hole. It was gone the next day(thank goodness)...really weird. All I can figure is that I reacted to something that I ate.
It certainly sounds like we missed a great time and turnout and we really missed visiting with everyone and catching up. We will look forward to the next time!
