View Full Version : The Dogwood Inn, Eureka Springs

Sweetpea and I went to Eureka to visit mom for Thanksgiving, and passed by the Dogwood Inn. A bunch of us stayed there in the past, and had a great pizza party in their dining room. It was a "quaint" kind of place. I'm sorry to say that the place has burned to the ground! I was shocked. See the pic.

Man, you do got a memory!! No way would I have gotten back to "Henri". Just now thought of Keith's last name - Pruitt, wuzn't it? And 'Aggiered' or somethang for a handle. Last I heard, he wuz down in the Brownsville area.

And is that Rehder next to Swanzy??

Hey, Muns - anybody say when the place roasted?? Darn shame.

That is Rehder, and we saw the place on the way out, and don't know the story. I know the sign says, "Enjoy our hot tub this fall", so maybe it was recent. Their web site says only that the place is closed indefinitely. Sad indeed.

The locals say it was a meth lab that caused the fire and the owner may have some involvement. The same owner also had the Budget Host Inn now closed and the Swiss Village Inn still opened, but by a different operator.
