View Full Version : Suspension upgrades on my '87 LT

I'm looking to get a little better feedback out of my '87 LT's suspension. I've gone to a remote-res Works Steeltracker shock which I'm not convinced is that great. However, I would like to get some more damping out of the forks. I called Race Tech for some cartridge emulators but they had no application for the early LT. The closest they had was for the '85 RS. Can someone tell me if they have done this same thing and what model they used? Does the RS share the same forks with the LT? Thanks.

Howdy,

Let me know what you find out, as I have an '88 K100LT. Mine has a Ohlins shock(not sure about the part #) with the remote preload adjust and all of the other goodies.

I've heard that you can play with the fork oil level and weight which I haven't tried...yet. Nor have i changed the fork springs.
