Hi all,
I am posting this for a fellow club member.
He has an 03 K12GT that has a loud rattle at idle that seems to be coming from the rear of the engine, front of the tranny area. If you squeeze the clutch the rattle stops. We have tried holding onto the exhaust, plastic skirts etc and can not find any loose items on the under side of this bike. rev the engine slightly and the rattle stops. It does not matter whether you are stationary or in gear.
Trans shifts smooth.
Any thoughts or suggestions.
Is it possible that there is a loose spring on the pressure plate that could cause this? My mind says no but....
