I've seen them at rallies and even on personal webpages but would like to know more about the flat rack that replaces the trunk. I think there are at least 2 commercial versions. Does anyone have one? Who makes it and where did you get it? Can you link me to a pic or can you post a pic of yours? Thanks.
P.S. I found a thread about the Fort Worth rack. Looks great but I don't believe it is still available.

Mark,
Keep an eye on the classifieds forum as quite often a Fort Worth Rack is listed for sale. I believe there have been several in the past month.

I purchased a rack from one of the members. I got it Friday and installed it Saturday (I also performed a canisterectomy while I was there).
The only issued with the Fort Worth Rack that I ran across was the interference with the radio antenna. I took the antenna off and it fits nicely.
The bike has an entirely different lookwith the rack vis-a-vis the top case.
A&S in Sacremento sells them. I think Raffy is going to sell them.

I got mine at A&S they make two versions, one with a grab rail and one without. The one with the grab rail has the holes drilled in it for the rail. So if you don't want the grab rail until later order the one with the holes already drilled.

Very nice!!!!
Maybe sometime I can get one for a summer look.
Still trying to recover from the $1600.00 for the 4 Piece Corbin I put on
I am chomping at the bit to see what the LT does without the parachute on it's tail :)
On the other hand I am VERY spoiled with that top box. Same on the Road Glide. I bought all detachable hardware for the pizza box and passenger backrest, and NEVER took the pizza box off :(
Still, VERY nice look !!!!!!!!!!
Are you seeing any handling differences?

The handling is much better, lighter and quicker handling. I have a medium MotoFizz bag from Aerostich that goes back there when I am on a trip.

Hi, Johnson. Quick question for ya - how did the Ft. Worth rack interfere with your radio antenna? I've seen quite a few Ft. Worth rack installations, in addition to mine, and haven't noticed any antenna interference. I'm wondering if you got the tower spacers that fit under the rack, along with longer bolts? The rack should be mounted like the pics in DMatson's post that shows an eye-level shot of the spacers.
Just curious, Johnson. You shouldn't have to remove the antenna in order for the rack to fit; unless I'm missing somethang.

Thats right mine didn't interfere with my antenna, I just took it off cause I don't use it.

I made mine a woody! I took the trunk off, made a walnut base, took the luggage rack with brake lights and mounted that on the walnut. I love it.
