On a quad sunday, looked at something for an instant, ran up on a 4 inch sapling. Sprung me right back, didn't make it all the way around.
Pretty sore today, don't know if it is from landing on the back with the quad on me or Kicking if off the top of me.
I don't think I'll make it to the X-games:confused:

I'm glad you weren't hurt any worse Rock. I had a tumble on a quad in some sand dunes a number of years ago and my neck has never been the same since. I live and die by the chiropractor these days. I guess thats the price we pay for living on the wild side. LOL

Yeah it was a bit of a wake up call.

About half way over, I thought this is going to smart, and went straight into Drunken Monkey.
I straightened my leg (softly) and as my butt hit the ground I let them bend until the seat hit my thighs. Then I shoved for all I was worth with my legs as I pulled the bars towards my face.
Same as the monkey toss (for all you Martial Arts Fans) where you grab the guy charging by the arms/shirt, roll backwards getting your feet or knees into the mid section and send them flying, usually to land on their back and have the wind (and fight) knocked out of them.
Just never did it with a 500lb guy.
Just have to pay attention better, to the terrain.

Wonder if they have a category for that in the Senior games?

Hey Rock, don't be too hard on yourself, I just bought a 48" long board (skateboard) last year and ran head on into a tree my second day out. It was much larger than a sapling.

I've nicknamed it the "Tomahawk".

Glad you're ok Rock. Those off road vehicles can give you some pretty scary moments..

I remember when I was a kid I broke a 125 Bennelli in half jumping it.

Did about four donuts and a splat..

Take the good drugs and feel better soon.

Going 4-wheeling again this Saturday Rock. I'll try not to kill myself (again). :D Sorry to hear about your little mishap. I know all too well what it means to have to kick the opponant off of you. Fortunately, the quad you sold to me weighs far less than the one you ride. :p

Most of us are old enough to remember when those damn things only had three wheels and would toss you just for the hell of it.

Glad you're okay though.
