Went for a ride today with my son in the country and came upon traffic stopped. Notice the group of bikes on the left and the corner ahead sign on the right hand side.

Walk a little closer and notice a bike off the road on the left hand side, a firetruck blocking the road and the corner ahead sign has a limit of 75 KPH (47 MPH)

Why would a helicopter be on the road in the middle of nowhere?

One lone rider went down, the group of 6 bikes were the first on the scene. From what I heard second hand, he has a broken leg and broken ribs. There was snow in the ditches 2 minutes back the direction I came, but no one else had traction problems, the temp was 16 degrees celcius (60 to you Americans) so I think he picked the wrong line. I couldn't take a picture of his bike, but it was a write off.

So the moral of this story is, be safe out there. Riding season is almost over for some of us, make your last rides memorable and keep the shiney side up.
Now some other pics from our stop in Bragg Creek.
