My sister decided at the last minute to join me on my ride up to my dad's birthday party since my wife couldn't make it. So loaded up my wife's gear and swung over to Norfolk to pick her up. 580 miles later we landed in Mount Vernon Oh. I thought I'd be dropping her off at a car rental place along the way for her to head back home, but she hung in there and completed the ride. Amazing! My wife and everybody else tried to talk her out of it, but she wanted the adventure. We super slabbed it, I'll try some back roads for her on the way home. We stopped fairly often, but still 580 miles out of the gate for her first ride, even on an LT, is pretty impressive to me. I don't think she'll be trying it again anytime soon, she says the three things she likes about driving she can't do on a motorcycle - eating, reading and talking.

i went through mount vernon at around 7. Didn't see you though. Find a good road to take down to WV then find another one in WV, it shouldn't be too difficult.

We rolled through on 36 about 8:30. Staying out at the HIE, left the bike at my folks and took their car back to the hotel, I think she would have walked the 12 miles if she would have got back on the bike at that point. Good roads are not hard to find in southwest OH (thanks to the education from my friends on the board) or WV.

eat, read and talk, if there is a comm system installed.

Ask the board for those who rode to CCR. All the gals ate, read, and talked ........ and some even slept.

She'll get there.
