View Full Version : BMWLT is costing me a lot of money!

As a brand new member since the site came back up, I've already received a plethora of advice on practical and comfort accessories for my recently purchased '05 LT. Much better forum than anything I saw for my Harley. The problem with this wonderful advice is that I'm listening to it, evaluating it, and then acting on it. I spent $1200 yesterday just to get my happy butt down to the Dragon and back next week! This is just a quick 3 day trip to try my new bike out. How much am I going to spend getting ready for my next 6000 mile odyssey???!!! Where will it end? Ohhhh, the insanity of it all!
OK... so much for my attempt at drama in a humorous fashion. I'll stick to my four different day jobs! Seriously though, the advice and feedback is greatly appreciated and my money well spent. I'm very thankful to have stumbled onto this site. Thanks to everyone for participating in a such a great community! :bmw:

Welcome aboard!
Don't worry....what your spending now will seem insignificant once you really get rolling with all the farkles. :D

Kevin

Yup ... 36K cost me around the same ... a guy I ride with that owns an Intruder mentioned that convinced him not to get a BMW, but then I see all the 'issues' they have and how an easy 700 mile day totally exhausts them and its worth it ... ;)

(everyone else)
"Hi Chip!"

What to do next? Support the site ( http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/subscriptions.php? ), and make plans for CCR!

I highly recommend them. They are a super way to make you much more visable day and night. And they're only about $500 installed. A mere pittance. Have fun.

Greetings Chip and welcome aboard!
You might as well spend it on your BMW. You can't take it with you and you sure don't want to leave it to the kids!
Enjoy!

Motolights are great! Got 'em on my '06 Ultra Classic and will be installing them soon on the LT.

Amen to that brother! Spending it faster than I can make it! The kids (now grown and gone) will have to fend for themselves!
