I've used the small 2" round, convex mirrors mounted on the glass of the stock mirrors --- the convex ones are not flat against the glass, butt rather are elevated at one point on their circumference, and afford a wide view angle that is adjustable thru rotating 360 degrees. I've been very happy with 'em, butt recently found a replacement blind spot mirror that is better. I found it in my garage!! And have no earthly idea where I got it, nor when, nor why!! And, I only have one!! Sheesh - this is big time CRS!

I'm attaching a pix of the thang, with this short description: it's mirror portion is 4" wide x 1.5 tall; is on a short articulated gooseneck stem and has at it's base a suction device engaged by throwing a lever. A round cup is separate and has a sticky backing for attaching to a desired location and then you place the mirror suction device in the cup and rotate the lever and that action adheres the mirror to the cup. It takes someone stronger than me to separate the two without rotating the lever to break the suction.

So --- I'm wondering: where'd I get the dang thang? And if anyone knows where I can obtain a twin? It is made in Germany; has "Universal Sauger-Haftsystem Suction Cup" imprinted on the separate mounting piece.

I've Googled, Jeeved, Sharper Imaged and Brookstoned, with no joy. If anyone happens across one of these, I'd sure like a quick PM.

My mounting location is gonna be on the underside of the RCU shelf at each end. The field of view from there will be off my shoulder to *nearly* 90 degrees off the side of the bike.

Thanks all.

Howdy, Dick.. I found those at Pep Boys recently. Also, look in the "childcare" area at Wally world... I'm thinking those are for drivers to see kids in the back seat... I can't imagine why.. =)

If you can't find a match you might take a look at the Quick-Scans from Saeng. I have a pair of the shield-mount types on my Suzuki 650 Burgman and they work great. http://www.saeng.com/scanners.htm

Hi, Don - thanks for the SAeng tip. Those are good (used to have a pair years ago) and I know of a coupla riders in the South Central area that are usin' 'em. I'm ok with the round, rotateable ones that I have mounted on the Muth mirrors - I'm used to them and they do the job; however, this one unit that I'm trying to match is soooo much better and I'd like to see how they do as a pair.

I'll find it one of these dayz, I betcha. Least it'll be in the last place I look!! ;)

Thanks again.
