I haven't heard Clifton's version.... Zydeco doesn't get ANY playtime around Austin, or I haven't been listening..

I thought it kinda funny, so posted here... those musicians trying to do Zydeco did miss the mark...

But, hey, they made it to YouTube!!! That says a lot.... just doesn't bear repeating.

Well, bearing in mind that Zydeco is Cajun with 'Soul', I'm not suprised you don't hear it in your deep South !! - but it's your loss. Bearing in mind that 'Cajun' is short for 'Acadian' - French Canadian persecuted clan chased from France to Canada then down to Louisiana, and freed slaves picked up on 'Cajun' music, added 'soul', turned it into Zydeco, check out a French Celt called 'Alan Stivel' - don't think he's ever been to the States, but you can see the roots.
