Has anyone used a carrier to ship a bike in Canada? I'm looking for any recommendations and tips.
Thanks folks!

I would if it was August and there was no snow in the Rockies. The bike I need to get is on Vancouver Island. Iron-butt? That's more like Steel-Butt distance...

Go south to Las vegas then across and up.

Try Allied Van Lines or SeaRail. Both are in the phone book. I agree with the other guys, in that I would ride it home. The fall weather is pretty good right now and it would be a fantastic trip through the Rockies. If the weather gets cold, just head south.

When I sold my V-Rod, the buyer used http://www.dasautoshippers.com/ and i have to tell you, I was amazed at the experience. The logistics setup was great and communications bar-none, the guys who came to pick up the Harley knew what they were doing and treated it as it was their own. The report from the buyer said that it arrived (from NY to Texas) without a (extra) scratch and was very pleased.
I rechecked their website and looks like they may run in Canada as well.

BTW...noticed your signature in Kingston, ON...my folks have a place up on Wolfe Island so I'm up there quite a bit...should see if we can meet the next time I'm in your neck of the woods.

Thanks for the info...GAH!! I've had to pass on a superb deal. Not too many choices for within Canada. Had several calls in to PMI shipping (associated with Allied VanLines) all to naught. Tried DAS, no quote several days later. Tried brokers, no bites. Maybe it's a Canadian thing.
Yes do let me know when in this area, we'll connect. I do get out to Wolfe Island as well on occasion!

Dark! If the bike is a great deal. Buy it. Park it at my place on Vancouver Island and then ride it back in Spring. It can sit right next to my GSA in a nice safe corner of my garage until you are ready to pick it up. Or buy it, fly out to the coast and ride it out to Edmonton. We can put it on SeaRail from here and have it shipped. I bought a car in Quebec City and had it shipped out here. It worked great. Another idea is to call your local motorcycle shop and ask them who they use to ship bikess. I know you can find someone.
