My theory:

The server was grieving over the loss of our beloved Coni! I know I was.

May she be riding in heaven now. The only reason I can think of that
God would have taken her from her family and friends so soon is that he needed a new Division leader in his Angel Corps.

Here is the favorite picture I took of her after I had installed a Thomas Compressor in Ali. This is how I will always remember her, on Ali and happy!

Strange Dave, but I was thinking exactly the same thing. I'd never met Coni, but felt I knew her through this forum. I'm not the slightest bit religous, but the timing was weird.

Nobody really knows or understands why God takes those that are "too young" to go. It just takes faith. And it's pretty easy to understand how Coni's work was done here and it was time for her to move on to bigger and better things. We'll see her again. And we'll be riding through eternity! Together!!! :)

Hmmm, I've had the exact same thought. It does make one wonder. Grieving server? Makes as much sense as any other.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Coni, but heard so many nice things about her these past few years and her willingness to share with others. Sounds like she enriched a lot of lives. Thanks for sharing a perfect picture.

Your gloves had a melt down too, at the thumb and pointy finger. :)

So was I - actually I figured she tried to take it with her - I mean that in a good way, of course!

I never met Coni, either, but when I joined his site she had just completed one of her LD rides. Being new to LD ridiing, I asked her about reasonable daily distances. She pointed me towards the IBA website, and now three out of five of my family are Iron Butts.

I will never forget her.
