Rode from Greenville, NC to Philadelphia on wednesday. Temperature was 43 degrees tops and 28 by bthe time I arrived. Saw three other bikes, actually, two bikes and a trike heading south, no BMW's. It was a beautiful sunny day, so where was everybody?
Going back tomorrow, hope to see some folks on two wheels. Incidently one word to remember, Gerbings.

As a follow up, rode home saw three bikers on the way south (not the same three). Two beautiful days of riding. I guess the mid-Atlantic bunch is hibernating.

heck, some days 28 is the HIGH temp for the day. Rode in to work yesterday, was 28 in the morning, and warmed up to 52 for the ride home. Monsoon today, so I am in the Avalanche, but no rain tomorrow, and a hiogh of 40, so another day of riding! :bmw:

I love Maine. Took several vacations to Maine, ate lobster everyday. Would love a retirement home on a lake for the summer months. Being an old Pennsylvania boy now stuck in the south, Maine is harder to get to with the family. Pretty much a two day drive. Now on two wheels I would love to pop up there in the summer.

Rode this morning to work it may be the last for a while. I found one very slippery spot on a bridge this morning, I did not need my coffee to wake fully after that.

Hey I rode from Middletown CT to Burlington MA yesterday in the rain. Not one problem unless you count the Truck that rear ended another truck carying brand new Hondas. Well, there not new now. Messed them up pretty good. Hope the driver is ok though looked like it hurt. Not much left of the cab. Stopped traffic for about 30 minutes. Once I hit the Mass border it started to rain and did not let up until I left my office and headed to a friends house for some beer and BBQ. Rode back to my office in CT this morning and had great ride. I do not want to put her away. I know I will have soon but it is way too much fun.

I've been riding everyday to Philly and back. So if you happen to see a blue 05 between 5:30-6:30am in Jersey heading to Philly it's me. Was out on Nov. 26 on Route 38 heading east about 5:45am and the bike thermometer was reading 22 degrees. Man o Man what a rush! Just thanking God there was no black ice! Those Gerbings are such a blessing! Just as I was ignorant about heated clothing so are many non-riders. People are simply amazed you are not freezing your scrotum off. I then tell them about the heated gear and tell them about the pants and socks and see their eyes go wide. Can't say it enough how good this bike really is! The features, speed, and oh the handling! I'm not that experienced yet but boy is it fun just getting there. Got a pair of Metzlers installed recently-any one else in Penn or Jersey have them while riding this time of year? No problems so far. Just curious.
