Hi, all:
I will be renting an R1150GS in near future. I'd like to find out more about the sidecases on that bike. Hopefully there is someone on this forum familiar with that model.
Normally, when riding touring bikes (like K-bikes or R'RT), I use liner bags, like Kathy's. This way, all my stuff fits onto the removable bags which I take with me to the hotel. It's all well organized and the contents do not fall out when I open the cover on the bike.
This time, though, I am limited in the amount of luggage I can take on a flight and would like to skip the liners. Also, my existing liners fit the above-mentioned machines, but would not be space-effective in the squarish boxes of the 'GS.
So, here is the question: are the sidecases of the R1150GS (not 1200) easy to use without any liners? Are they easy to detach in order to take to the room? Sealed well enough to allow my clothing, etc., to be just stuffed in without any protection?
Thanks in advance.
