Yep. It's a hazard driving in and out of my driveway. I think the damn things are using my place as a breeding ground!

Guys.. I have spent time in Austin and several other areas in Texas and I had to ask where the deer were.. I had a local buddy tell me to just look over there... there is a bunch of them!!!
WOW.. I thought those were goats or little dogs in the field.. until I noticed the 6 and 8 point racks on them :<)
Now in the Midwest and Indiana for sure.. an 8 point will weigh in at 200LBS + .. They look and taste like wild cow !! all grain fed and VERY HEALTHY.. But in defense of everyone.. it does not matter, big or small they are out in force and will mess you and the bike up if you meet! so be careful out there!

I think they're hanging around my place laughing at the bike still in pieces in the garage.

Yup there out there.
Yesterday in the neighborhood one was running parallel to me. I increased speed to out run him just as I did he cut toward the street and went just behind me.
Tonight I was catching up to a Harley one cut in front of him, the second started toward me, I hit the breaks, he turned around.
Caught up to the Harley at the light and said nice night for a ride.
He said I almost hit that dam deer.
I said I almost got the second one.

Real thick where I live - I try to run them off our property, but my wife likes them (she even yelss at the dog for barking at them)... I read somewhere that there are more deer in the U.S. today than when Columbus discovered America.

Just a few days after posting the above, Rich died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle vs. car collision. Additional information has been posted in the "In Memoriam" forum.

May you rest in peace, brother, through the Mercy of God.

We're up in northern VT right now, and the MOOSE are grazing not far from the roadway.

If you think the deer are bad............

Deer are bad enough - prairie goats are on the run out here too. In town, on the streets - simply gotta be on the lookout for 'stuff'.

They are bad here too. It's about over development mostly. We are just decreasing their habitat. It will just get worse, as politicians strive to increase tax dollars they can spend.
