Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm looking for something to make me stand out in a crowd. One more question, who has the best price? Tk's in advance. MK

Instead of spending $70.00 for a "Hi Vis Mesh Tech Vest" reflective vest you might want to consider stopping by your local industrial safety supply store and get one for $12.99.... ;)

I don't think the fashion police will dock you any points since you're going to look like a geek anyway. :stir:

Seriously, if you want to get noticed wear a white helmet and install a hyperlight on your high beam and leave it on all the time. You'll piss off a lot of people since they'll think you're the "man" - and Harley riders will stop waving at you. No great loss either way if it keeps some cager from pulling a left in front of you. :thumb:

Try and get one with a zip as the velcro will stop working / is not very good and the vest ends up flapping about.

Don't waste your time on the cheap industrial version. They flop around and are pain. I purchased the Olympia vests and really like them. Anything that gets peoples attention is good.

The Olympia is top notch. I was concerned about it being too hot as an extra layer this summer, but it's ventilated enough and caused no problems. Very well made.

The Army Safety Program provided all of my soldiers with Icon Milspec vests as part of our unit safety program--top quality mesh vests with zippers, id pockets, etc.

If you're active or reserve military, see what your local safety office might do for you.

I should have said "all of my soldiers participating in our motorcycle safety program" instead of "all soldiers." It was a good deal for the individual and for the well-being of the command.

I have seen Paul Mitchell (member on this site) on several occasions in his hi-viz Olympia vest. It stands out -- day or night. The only thing more visible is a hi-viz jacket.

If I wasn't already in the market for a new jacket, I'd have gone with the Olympia vest (http://www.olympiamotosports.com/nova/nova.htm). Instead, I just went ahead and got the Hi-Vis AST (http://www.olympiamotosports.com/ast_mens/ast_mens.htm) since I was getting a whole new jacket. If you can't see me, you're blind. :)

As always this forum comes through again. I would like to thank for all the information. I have one more item, to add to the wish list. I too wish I'll had bought the hi-viz jacket but I will have to settle for the vest. Again, tk's/MK
