Picked up my new Black 07 DL1000 V-Strom and 2 days later headed out on a 2200+ Mile adventure with my S/O on her 05 FJR....
The V-Strom turns out to be a practical, bullet proof do anything kind of bike with very comfortable ergos.

Down the 90/84/82 slab for awhile over Oregons SR97 to the Sistahs & unreal
SR 126 over the McKenzie Pass to Eugene to Florence Oregon, the 101 to 1 in Ca in Piercy (The Enchanted Forrest of Curves) all the way down to r SeaRanch CA to Rest up for 3 days after 3days of hard riding. 3 more days of Hard Riding back home....*Cooling Vests really do work in the HEAT!

Big 07 DL1000 V-Strom no problems right out of the box. FJR starts FD Leak, Grrrrrrrrrr.....
Some awfully lonely roads out there in Oregon & CA and we have seen them,
especially SR 197 and the 126.... Funny I never had an problems with my 05LT but now theFJR starts a FD leak !! ....Will be less expensive fix I guess then the LT.

Missed the LT Comfort on the superslab but truthfully the intricate decending and ascending radius uphill & downhill curves were much easier with this lighter bike... My gravel driveway is no problem with the V-Strom and I am SO GLAD I got the 1000 versus the 650 for Freeway work.. Let the Farkling begin.
