I know copying is the "sincerest form of flattery", but, I don't trust them with my Dog food. Now my life????

How much money would you have to save?

Didn't BMW quit making the CS (Scarver), or stop importing it to the US?

Couldn't see the link - the page refused to load because it 'detected the presence of ad blocker software'. Not seen that message before!

On a side issue - if you want to control China why not simply refuse to buy anything made there? It'll make your technical life a bit difficult, but what the heck.....

I remember MCN testing one of their early BMW750 copies a few years ago and saying it was so dangerous, it would never pass a vehicle inspection. But today they are getting closer and closer to the Japanese standards.

Have you looked at some of the newer household items you've bought and been surprised that it was Chinese?

We thought the same of the Japanese a while back. The British motorcycle manufacturers didn't take them seriously. Look what happened.
There is a lot of Western money going to China now. I've been told by people that have seen them that they have immaculate state of the art factories in many cases now.
Because of the cheap labour many western manufacturers are having stuff made over there.
Jim Rogers in his book Investment Biker, predicted the Chinese market boom about ten years ago. (Good book BTW)
