5000 miles and not a drop of oil

Funny thing: After braking in 2 R bikes and being used to adding lots of oil up to 12,000 miles or so, I have been VERY surprised to reach 5,000 miles on the LT and NEVER add a drop of oil! I keep staring at the sight glass and the oil never moves! I sit there with my special sideways funnel and I never get to use it! I got it changed at 600 and 3,000 +/-.
Is this the way it usually is?

Pretty much normal in most cases. But don't expect it to last forever. Some people start burning a little oil somewhere in the 100-200k range. Just before I sold my LT I used about 2 oz in 6k miles at 55k miles on the bike.

Yeah.. low oil consumption compared to air cooled...

Also, if you park the LT on the sidestand, you will use more oil..
