Well,

Its been a while since I 'actively' participated on the forum/rides etc. But I have been lurking in read mode. Things at work are taking a big turn. I got promoted and will now be working out of my hometown in Chennai, India, for the next few years. It has been a great gift for me to have met all of you on this forum, and some in person and sharing the road for many many (s)miles. I will be leaving for India next week to take on the new position. I will continue to monitor the forum regularly and keep in touch. I wish everybody, all success and many more safe miles of riding!!!

I was gonna say, it's the Worldwide Web, so you'd best keep in contact with us. I'd hate to have to come looking for you (actually, I'd love to visit India).

I hope you enjoy your new position and posting.

Will you be taking your bike? Or perhaps picking up one in country?

A couple of years back, I thought of arranging a group ride for the MTF folks in India. I might actually do something next year!! I will surely post on this board if I do arrange one!!!

Thanks Dave!!! The LT is not a very suitable bike for the traffic and road conditions in India as it is now. A R/F series bike would be more preferred!!!

Good luck, my friend, with your new endeavor. It's great to be so close, electronically, when so far away. I don't know shit about India! Can you come up with a BMW there?

Congratulations! Returning home with a promotion has got to be a good thing. Keep us informed on what you are doing for two wheeled transportation there.

AFAIK, There aren't any dealers out there. It can be imported, but that's a totally different ball game :)
