I made the switch and boy was it a good one. I am so happy to be rid of the extra weight. The handling of the RT is nothing short of amazing. I loved the LT but I can't help but think the heaviness of the bike and the fact that the rear brake is linked are both terrible detriments to slow speed handling. I dropped it once but that was enough for me.

I ordered the VStream windshield, Suburban peg lowering kit, bar risers, and a Rick Mayer seat. All of you out there provided a wealth of great info for me during the switcing process. Thank you!

I've been considering replacing the LT with a new RT myself.

I love the GS Adventure and if the RT performs like the GS does it has to be a hoot to ride.

The RT is a "hoot" to ride. Light and nimble and esponsive..............awesome!!

I test rode both the GS and RT, ended up with the RT, but it's not quite as nimble and has taller gearing and the engine doesn't pull as well or as cleanly off the bottom end, but it's stable and the comfort and wind protection is first class.

What suprises me is how short the wheelbase is, so it's quite responsive for a 630lb bike. I can make u-turns on most 2 lane roads. I could never do that on my sportbikes (mostly due to the steering lock).

I like it more every day I ride it. For me it is more comfortable than my LT. Even though my knees are more flexed it doesn't seem to bother me. I did order the Suburban peg lowering kit and a seat from Rick Mayer as well as a VStream windshield for the winter. I just love this bike. Trading in my LT was the best decision I made.
