I am going to replace my rear rotor with an ebc and was wondering if it is compatible with the carbon lorainne brake pads I have on the back, or should I get ebc brake pads.

Mike,
If I were doing this, i would place a call to the EBC Distributor or to EBC themselves. I would suspect that they would "recommend" their own pads for sure, but ask them to simply tell you if other pads will work too. I can't imagine why they wouldn't, but it may affect warranty of the new disc or something crazy. Better to be sure.
BTW, here's a few links to some dicussion of the "second" spacer needed with some of the EBC rotors: (the third one lists a supplier of EBC rotors). Despite the problems experienced by some, I would still go that route on my bike:

Have you bought those parts yet? Let me know if you want a sidekick when you get ready to install.
