Has anyone here had any experience on their GT with the use of tank grip pads on the sides of their fuel tank? Seems like it would help stabilize your body by helping your knees grip the tank.

I thought that was why they invented VELCRO. Helps keep you on the bike above 150 mph

I use the tech spec (http://www.techspec-usa.com/). Click on the snake skin. They now make them cut to size for the BMW and you can also get them from Pirate (http://piratesk12site.net/TechSpec.htm).

They're perfect! By gripping with your knee's you add to the arsenal of the way you sit the bike (you just thought you'd developed all the muscles). Also, panic stops and massive nailing of the throttle are much more controlled.

I love them and would buy them again.

I'm with Griff. I have the Snake Skin on my GS in it works great. I got them for free since the guys that make the stuff are here in NorCal and use our bikes for the patterns, but I would buy it:)
