This topic has been discussed here dozens of times. That noise you're hearing is the tires...

My guess is that you have Metzelers on your bike.
Keep riding and turn up the tunes!
Just my .02's worth.

As stated above. The "howl" is common on Metzler front's after 5000 miles or so. Does not affect handling.

They all make noise after they start cupping.
The LT is just a big heavy beast that's hard on tires..

Front tire pressure should be 2 pounds below max pressure stamped on the tire if you are riding solo. Two up should be at max pressure. This will help avoid cupping and howling

I have Metz's on my LT and the dealer recommends 40 up front and 48 in the rear...then turn up the tunes.

Could be the FD about to leave you stranded but I doubt it.
As previoulsy mentioned, your rear tire is probably cupped from running with too low of tire pressure.
If your FD is going, the usual first clue would be gear oil on the back tire.
I run 46 in front and 50 rear, darn tires still cup.

Had the same noise after 8000 miles on the original tires. I got the same advice from the dealer and this forum that the tires were the problem, but I just could not believe that tires were causing all the noise an vibration I was experiencing. New tires - no more noise.
