can you say "microwave"? Radar guys have been melting candy bars and warming their lunches in front of the arrays for a while now... Sure, he can "burn" it... but can he harness the H and O2 so it can be "burned" later? and is it a factor of 100% in and only 30% energy out?

Not to step on the enthusiasm... looking forward to the application!

The key info would be this: How much energy is used to power the frequency generator vs. how much energy can be obtained from the burning?

Over the last few decades there have been many electrolysis systems touted to get hydrogen and oxygen from water, but all use more power to seperate them than re-combining them can produce. It will be interesting to see if this new way can acheive better than a 1:1 energy in to energy out ratio.

Exactly. Keep in mind that we are not talking about vaporizing seawater, we are talking about igniting it. Something never done before. Right now it's an academic exercise and no doubt years until any practical applications emerge. But there should be some commercial incentive to advance the science.
