Does anyone have personal experience using this chock sold by Harbor freight on an LT?

It appears to be a little lightweight for an LT and Harbor Freight does not give much in the line of details.

CRAP !!!!

It looks just like the one I gave 150.00 for. JUST like it.

Mine works great. I don't think you'll have any issues.

You do realize you have to bolt it to something larger...

Mine is mounted on my H/F lift and I just drive the bike on to it and it holds it quite well.

I have to use the reverser to get out of it though...

Can't just pull it out. Thinking of making an "assist" lever and welding it on the chock, Once that wheel goes on and the thing locks, It holds the bike very securely..

Good Luck

The work fine! The previous post is right though, sometimes it does take some work to get out of them.

Looks really flimsy to me... probably just fine for a 400 lb. sportbike but an 800 lb. LT?

Probably OK for working on your bike on a lift with tiedowns, but I would never trailer with it. The metal is just WAY too thin compared to my Condor, and it only grabs the tire at two points instead of three.

I've regretted almost everything I've ever bought at Horrible Freight. I don't even bother going there anymore. Chinese crap.

I wouldn't be "supporting" my bike by the front wheel like that... really concerns me about the sideway "stresses" on the wheel... but, it's your bike..

Do a search for the condor wheel chock, they offer a variety to choose from. Much beefer than the HF.

Again, these chocks work fine, but I never trusted it as the only means to secure my bike. I always used front tie downs and rear as well.

Have a look at the bike grab from

bit more expensive but excellent quality.

It looks OK for forward and back support, but the front of it does nothing to hold the tire and stabilize the bike.

Check out Baxley's (http://www.baxleycompanies.com/Sportchock.html)
It will hold an LT up by itself. (Obviously you would want to secure it, but the picture shows the chock is sturdy.) And it's made in Alabama, USA.

Also, Jerome Baxley was a vendor at CCR, and when Monte Rogers' bike broke down, he pulled a trailer out of his display and went with us to pick up the bike. I bought a sport chock from him later that day.

+1 for the Baxley,

I bought one at CCR and just set it on the garage floor. You can purchase a kit for $30 to quickly mount or take it off your trailer. Easy to drive into and easy to get back off of (two positions on the front plate to allow for a deeper seating of the tire if you have long legs). VERY sturdy and the LT is well supported without anything touching the brake rotor or ABS rings.

+2 For the Baxley. I use mine to haul my GS in the back of my truck and it works great on a flat trailer for the LT. It is super heavy duty and well worth the money. I would get the adjustable model, not the sport chock BTW. It work on front wheels from 16" up to 21"
